Manta rays are the largest species of ray and live in tropical, subtropical, and temperate ocean waters across the globe. I wanted to paint them and pay tribute to them as to me, they're bazar looking.
 
“Manta” means blanket or cloak in Spanish, describing the look of the animals’ large, flat, diamond-shaped bodies, which are characterized by triangular pectoral fins.
 
Did you know, their white marking on their undersides is as unique to each manta, as our own thumb prints are. No two are the same.
